THE start of schooling is a big step for young residents and this week was another important milestone for kids across Ararat.
Foundation (formerly prep) students were celebrating their 100 days of schooling when the Ararat Advocate called in last Friday.
The students came dressed as 100-year-olds to mark the special occasion which included classroom activities based around the number 100.
The day started with a “disco celebration and a game of limbo” with a number of fun activities planned by teachers throughout the day including decorating biscuits shaped in the number 100, creating 100 crowns and medallions, a 100 cake, a lunch of party food and at the end of the day all students were given a certificate marking their first 100 days.
The day is one celebrated by many Primary Schools across the country and encouraged by the Department of the Education.
