The 2022 production of the Australian musical \u2018Ladies in Black\u2019 focuses on life in the 1950s in Australia.<\/p>\n
Set in Sydney, Ladies in Black is a coming of age story of a young intelligent bookworm Lisa Miles (Abbey Rigby) embarking on a summer job at fashionable Sydney department store F G Goodes.<\/p>\n
Audiences are sure to love the fashions, hats and hairstyles while the stunning musical arrangements will both make you laugh and cry.<\/p>\n
Ladies in Black features the music of Tim Finn (Split Enz\/Crowded House) and is based on the 1993 book by Madeleine St John, on which the 2018 movie was also based.<\/p>\n
First time Director Evee Cosgriff has worked closely with Musical Director Kris Cheesman to bring this production to life.<\/p>\n
Ladies in Black stars a wealth of local talent including Jarita Barry, Maree Croft, Jodie Holwell, Leanne McCready, Virginia Keller, Samantha Dunks, Daryl Chaplin, Ian McCready, Bryan Kennedy, Tony Potter, Deb Slorach, Deidre Andrews, Jo Rigby, Claire Leggett), Sheridan Keith and Harry Belcher.<\/p>\n
