PLANS to establish a non-denominational choir in Ararat are coming together, with weekly practices underway.<\/p>\n
Anglican Priest Martin Nadarajan is trying to bring together singers from across the community to be part of the new choir.<\/p>\n
Father Nadarajan admits it has been a slow start, but he remains confident a choir can be achieved.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s issued an invitation to anyone who can carry a tune and be a team player to get involved.<\/p>\n
Many Ararat churches once boasted superb choirs which have gone by the wayside as parishioners aged, moved away or passed away.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the Trinity Choir, you don\u2019t need to be an Anglican, as long as you are happy to be here on a Sunday at 9.30 and be part of the congregation here to sing, we are more than happy to have you,\u201d\u00a0 Father Nadarajan said.<\/p>\n
Choir practice is being held every Thursday between 7pm to 8pm at the Anglican Church in View Point Street.<\/p>\n
