IN 2023, one of Australia\u2019s most respected institutions Legacy will celebrate 100 years, to be marked with a 50,000 kilometre torch relay.<\/p>\n
The torch will travel through 100 locations, carried by approximately 1,500 Torch Bearers to mark the significant contribution Legacy has made to the widows and families of veterans.<\/p>\n
The relay begins on Anzac Day, 25 April 2023, in Pozieres, France and will travel to London and then\u00a0 continue its tour throughout Australia.<\/p>\n
Ararat has been chosen to host a leg of the relay on the 8th<\/sup> of September, 2023.<\/p>\n Chairman of Legacy Australia Eric Easterbrook said the relay will remind Australians of the continued good work delivered by Legacy branches across Australia.<\/p>\n \u201cWe continue to support those who have served and sacrificed their health or lives to keep us safe.
