MEMBERS of the Melbourne Renegades cricket team were in Ararat this week to inspire a new generation of cricketers.<\/p>\n
Allrounders Georgia Wareham and Will Sutherland and their entourage visited students at Ararat Primary School and Ararat West Primary School to talk cricket, share techniques and sign autographs.<\/p>\n
The 2022 Renegades Regional Roadshow returned in-person, after last year\u2019s event was conducted virtually due to pandemic lockdowns.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s great to finally be able to get back out in the community, after a challenging couple of years for everyone,\u201d Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur players are excited to be heading to regional Victoria and be able to connect with school kids in our Renegades heartland.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Renegades Regional Roadshow is an important part of what we do as a club and our connection to the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to inspire the next generation of girls and boys to pick up a bat and ball \u2013 and having our WBBL and BBL players out and about is the perfect way to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Melbourne Renegades memberships for BBL|12 and WBBL|08 will go on sale from August 5, including a two-game option that provides great value for regional members.<\/p>\n
Tickets will be available via pre-sale on August 16 and on sale to the public from August 18.<\/p>\n
Apart from Ararat, the 2022 Renegades Regional Roadshow destinations included Kerang, Swan Hill, Echuca, Rochester, Bendigo, Warrnambool, Portland, Narrawong, Terang, Camperdown, Gisborne, Ballarat, Ararat, Lara, Geelong, Colac, Bellbrae, Torquay and Shepparton.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
