ARARAT Rural City Council is encouraging residents to nominate outstanding local businesses for the 2022 East Grampians Business Awards.<\/p>\n

\u2018Innovation and change\u2019 is the theme for this year\u2019s awards to recognise the people behind Ararat Rural City\u2019s businesses that continue to drive the region\u2019s economic successes and growth.<\/p>\n

Ararat Rural City Council chief executive Dr Tim Harrison said it\u2019s important to acknowledge the contribution of our local business community in their efforts to innovate and change over the past 12 months.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe challenges caused by the pandemic have seen our business community continue to evolve and rise to the occasion,\u201d Dr Harrison said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCouncil\u2019s East Grampians Business Awards is an important initiative that recognises the contribution of the region\u2019s most remarkable businesses and highlights how they\u2019ve evolved in the past year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019d love to see residents back their local business community by helping to nominate who they feel deserves to be in the running for one of the award categories in this year\u2019s East Grampians Business Awards 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a great opportunity to highlight how much you value your local businesses \u2013 it\u2019s quick and easy, just jump onto Council\u2019s website.\u201d<\/p>\n

Categories for the 2022 East Grampians Business Awards include Young Person of the Year, Sustainability Award, Innovation &\/or Change Award, Outstanding Customer Service Award, Best Home-Based Business Award, Best New Business Award, Business of the Year Award and People\u2019s Choice Award.<\/p>\n

Nominations open this Monday and close on the 30th<\/sup> of August, 2022.<\/p>\n
