THE start of schooling is a big step for young residents and this week was another important milestone for kids across Ararat.<\/p>\n
Foundation (formerly prep) students were celebrating their 100 days of schooling when the Ararat Advocate called in last Friday.<\/p>\n
The students came dressed as 100-year-olds to mark the special occasion which included classroom activities based around the number 100.<\/p>\n
The day started with a \u201cdisco celebration and a game of limbo\u201d with a number of fun activities planned by teachers throughout the day including decorating biscuits shaped in the number 100, creating 100 crowns and medallions, a 100 cake, a lunch of party food and at the end of the day all students were given a certificate marking their first 100 days.<\/p>\n
The day is one celebrated by many Primary Schools across the country and encouraged by the Department of the Education.<\/p>\n
