TWO SMW Rovers legends celebrated their 300 milestones in style last Saturday, with the Rovers marking the occasion with a 66-point victory.<\/p>\n
It was cause for celebration as Tim Cromb and Peter Hamilton ran onto the ground for their 300th<\/sup> time in SMW Rovers colours.<\/p>\n Not only were their efforts over the journey rewarded with a thumping win over Wicklifee-Lake Bolac, but ensured a finals berth for the Rovers\u2019 reserves.<\/p>\n Hamilton arrived at the club back in in 2003, spending most of his football in defence.<\/p>\n He has been a staple of the Reserves backline for many years and was a key member of the 2017 and 2019 premiership sides.<\/p>\n He has also been an active committee member for many years and has helped out with various coaching roles in the Junior Netball and Football teams.<\/p>\n ‘Crombie’ joined the club back in 2001. At first, he was a regular member of the senior midfield, playing over 50 senior games for the club. Since then, he has been a constant in the Reserves midfield. He was also a part of the successful 2017 and 2019 premiership teams.<\/p>\n Club president, Nic Byrne, congratulated both men on a great achievement.<\/p>\n Neither of them look like retiring, with their next challenge being facing Ararat Eagles at 12pm on Sunday in the Elimination Final at Lismore Recreation Reserve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" TWO SMW Rovers legends celebrated their 300 milestones in style last Saturday, with the Rovers marking the occasion with a 66-point victory.
