A fourth candidate has emerged in the seat of Ripon for November\u2019s election with the Greens selecting Clunes resident Earl James.<\/p>\n

Mr James is a teacher and union organiser who says he\u2019ll be campaigning on a number of key issues.<\/p>\n

He said Ripon has two main train lines but many people live in transport poverty due to the infrequency of the services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Greens have a plan to increase the frequency of regional buses with good connections to regional train services. Only the Greens will support better transport for regional Victorians,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also passionate about integrity in politics.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor too long corruption and pork-barrelling have been at the heart of our system of politics. This needs to end. The Greens have a plan to strengthen IBAC, stop the revolving door from parliament to lobbyist and establish a parliamentary integrity commissioner.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people of Ripon have real change now within their grasp. Choosing a sustainable future by voting Green will send a powerful message.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour vote is powerful. Vote Greens for an accessible regional Victoria,\u201d Mr James said.<\/p>\n

Earl James is the fourth candidate to emerge behind Liberal incumbent Louise Staley, Labor\u2019s Martha Haylett and independent Bernard Quince.<\/p>\n
