A further 120 appointments have been made available by the Red Cross to donate blood in Ararat this September.<\/p>\n
Following an article in last week\u2019s Ararat Advocate, the Red Cross said it was inundated by callers wanting to donate blood.<\/p>\n
The Mobile Blood Bank will be visiting Ararat next month and initially 70 appointments were made available.<\/p>\n
However, by 10am Friday all appointments had been booked, prompting the Red Cross to extend its visit.<\/p>\n
The Mobile Blood Bank will extend its visit to Ararat by another day to cope with the large number of local residents wanting to donate blood.<\/p>\n
A further 120 appointments have now been made available between the 26th<\/sup> to 29th<\/sup> of September.<\/p>\n Appointments are available on the following days;<\/p>\n Thursday 26 September 12pm – 5:30pm<\/p>\n Friday 27 September 9:30am \u2013 5:30pm<\/p>\n Saturday 28th September 8.30am – 4pm<\/p>\n Sunday 29th September 10am – 4pm<\/p>\n It has been almost 20 years since a blood donor centre was in Ararat.<\/p>\n A blood donation appointment takes around an hour, with the donation itself lasting just 5-10 minutes.<\/p>\n To book a donation, call 13 14 95 or book online at lifeblood.com.au or on the DonateBlood app.<\/p>\n The Mobile Blood Bank will return to Ararat in January.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A further 120 appointments have been made available by the Red Cross to donate blood in Ararat this September.
