A series of break-and-enter robberies occurred in the Lake Bolac area on the AFL Friday holiday.<\/p>\n
Crime scene police were called to the Lake Bolac Golf Club and Community Complex to collect evidence of a break in which is believed to have occurred between the hours of 6pm Thursday and 6am Friday.<\/p>\n
A Lake Bolac Caravan Park resident discovered the damage early Friday morning.<\/p>\n
Thieves forced entry into the building and ransacked several rooms.<\/p>\n
Another storage shed behind the complex was also damaged in the attack, which has angered local community members.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Golf Club President, Dallas Cameron, expressed his dismay.<\/p>\n
“It is disappointing that vandals have chosen to damage assets that the community voluntarily work for and maintain.”<\/p>\n
Another household robbery occurred at Willaura around 2.30pm Friday afternoon. It is not confirmed if the later incident was connected to the Lake Bolac events.<\/p>\n
