THE Willaura Hospital Auxiliary is running a grain drive this harvest, to raise funds for Willaura Health Care, incorporating Willaura Hospital and Parkland House Hostel.<\/p>\n
The Auxiliary\u2019s major fundraiser is the popular Willaura Market, but this event was unable to go ahead in 2021 because of COVID-19 restrictions.<\/p>\n
Farming families now have an opportunity to support the hospital by contributing to a grain drive instead.<\/p>\n
\u201cAuxiliary members are grateful to those who are prepared to help in this way,\u201d Grain drive coordinator Ruth Gellert said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWillaura Hospital and Parkland House Hostel provide a safe and caring environment in a small, friendly, rural setting. This is highly valued, not only by those who live and work there, but also by those whose family and friends benefit from its services.\u00a0 It\u2019s important that we do our best as a community to support it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mrs Gellert said that Auxiliary members are looking forward to seeing everyone at the 2022 Willaura Market on Sunday March 6, but until then, farmers in the district are thanked for their willingness to share some of this season\u2019s bounty.<\/p>\n
Farmers can allocate a little of their load to the Auxiliary\u2019s NGR card, 13993275, when they unload at receival sites. Graincorp is using warehousing with the Willaura Hospital account, while CHS Broadbent will be daily cash prices.<\/p>\n
