White Raceway has been deemed unsafe to use after a light pole came down last week.<\/p>\n<p>The pole fell across the jogging track which is inside the harness racing track.<\/p>\n<p>Ararat Harness Racing Club president Phillip Ralph said Harness Racing Victoria had deemed both the jogging and racing tracks unsafe to use because of concerns that other poles may fall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe plan is to lower 25 other light poles of concern onto the ground across the jogging track,\u201d Ralph said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce this is done, Harness Racing Victoria will review the safety aspect and will decide if trainers are able to use the Ararat track for training.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Stawell Harness Racing Club is allowing Ararat trainers to use their track for training.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ARARAT\u2019S Russell T.
