ARARAT\u2019S Alexandra Oval will host a Wimmera Football League final this year.<\/p>\n
The league released its fixture for the 2021 finals series late last week.<\/p>\n
Ararat will host the second semi-final on September 4.<\/p>\n
The finals kick off on August 28 with the qualifying final at Dimboola and the elimination final at Warracknabeal the following day.<\/p>\n
The first semi will be played at Murtoa on September 5 and the preliminary final at Nhill on September 12.<\/p>\n
The all-important grand final has been set down for September 18 at Horsham City Oval.<\/p>\n
GREAT Western\u2019s Damon Folkes has broken away to a nine-goal lead on the Mininera and District Football League goal kicking table.<\/p>\n
Folkes has kicked 57 goals for the season to date, including 12 in the last round.<\/p>\n
He leads Woorndoo-Mortlake\u2019s Grant Cameron on 48, Lismore-Derrinallum\u2019s Riley Browne on 45 and Ben Clay with 40 for Tatyoon.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a closer affair in the Reserves competition with Great Western\u2019s Peter Thompson currently holding a one-goal lead.<\/p>\n
Thompson has contributed 51 goals and is one ahead of Lismore-Derrinallum\u2019s Matthew Levings on 50.<\/p>\n
Levings booted nine against Wickliffe-Lake Bolac last round.<\/p>\n
Penshurst\u2019s Henry Bensch has the Under-16.5 goal kicking award firmly in his grasp.<\/p>\n
Bensch has 55 goals to his name, averaging 6.11 goals a match.<\/p>\n
Teammates Ned Andrew and Nicholas Casey are second and fourth on the table with 19 and 16 respectively, while Moyston-Willaura\u2019s Josh Phillips is third with 16.<\/p>\n
RAT Corey Taylor is tenth on the Wimmera Football League goal kicking table with 19 goals.<\/p>\n
Stawell Warriors\u2019 Cody Driscoll continues his dominance with 37 goals, five ahead of the Burras\u2019 Brayden Ison on 34.<\/p>\n
Ararat\u2019s Nick Oliver is 16th with 16 goals to his name and Tom Mills is sitting in 19th spot with 13 goals.<\/p>\n
