{"id":335,"date":"2021-08-25T05:43:10","date_gmt":"2021-08-24T19:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theadvocate.net.au\/2021\/08\/25\/clubs-sock-it-to-mnd\/"},"modified":"2021-08-25T05:43:10","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T19:43:10","slug":"clubs-sock-it-to-mnd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theadvocate.net.au\/2021\/08\/25\/clubs-sock-it-to-mnd\/","title":{"rendered":"Clubs sock it to MND"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TATYOON Football Netball Club joined forces with league neighbours SMW Rovers to host a successful fundraiser for Support MND Day.<\/p>\n<p>Tatyoon netball director Briony Robertson said the aim was to raise awareness and financially support the fight for a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe raised $1,615 through a gate raffle, rattling tins and both football and netball players wearing the teal Fight MND socks,\u201d Robertson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSMW Rovers were fabulous and joined in, and they also purchased socks, so effectively the combined tally would be even higher.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite the thick fog that remained until the last quarter of the A grade netball match all agreed it was a fantastic day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreat rivals combined for a great social day, and I just love the photo taken afterwards, as it simply sums up country netball,\u201d Robertson said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TATYOON Football Netball Club joined forces with league neighbours SMW Rovers to host a successful fundraiser for Support MND Day.
