{"id":799,"date":"2022-03-11T15:28:23","date_gmt":"2022-03-11T04:28:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theadvocate.net.au\/?p=799"},"modified":"2022-03-11T15:30:22","modified_gmt":"2022-03-11T04:30:22","slug":"sheep-dog-trials-commence-next-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theadvocate.net.au\/2022\/03\/11\/sheep-dog-trials-commence-next-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Sheep Dog Trials commence next week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Max McLean.<\/p>\n<p>OUR 94th Annual Moyston Sheep Dog Trials will be held at the Moyston Recreation Reserve from Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th March.<\/p>\n<p>Our trials are the longest continuously running trials in Australia and with a lot of luck we managed to hold them during the main COVID times.<\/p>\n<p>The program for the trials will be starting with the Novice Trial and Finals on Thursday, then the Heats of the Improvers\/Open trial starting after the novice Final and continuing into Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Then we will run the Encourage Trial and finish off on Saturday afternoon with the Improvers\/Open Final and Trophy Presentations.<\/p>\n<p>This year we have 35 entries in the Novice, 54 in the Improver\/Open, and 11 in the Encourage &#8211; which is 30 more than last year.<\/p>\n<p>Friday night we will have the monthly \u201cCommunity Dinner\u201d, and this will be followed by the BRACE Trial which is one worker with 2 dogs working the 3 sheep.<\/p>\n<p>For more information contact Max on 0419 382 315.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Max McLean.
