ARARAT Rotary Club and the Ararat Advocate are again searching for the districts best Christmas lights display.
From next week, the Ararat Advocate will publish a map each week showing where people can go to see displays of Christmas lights in Ararat and surrounding towns.
Households and businesses are urged to register their premises, with cash prizes for the winners of a number of different categories including:
- Best display
- Best display by children
- Best commercial display
- Best Australian theme
- Best farm display
- People’s choice award
Home and business owners wanting to participate and be included on the map need to contact the Ararat Advocate at [email protected] or by sending through information to us at 93a Barkly Street Ararat 3377.
Rotary members will judge displays of Christmas lights before Christmas and winners will be published in the Ararat Advocate.

A form will appear in next week’s Ararat Advocate allowing people to nominate their preferred display for the People’s Choice award. Online voting will also be allowed through our Facebook page.
