The Ararat Advocate is the biggest selling newspaper in Ararat, with sales of almost 1600 copies every week.
Since our first edition came off the press on May 1st 2020, there has been a steady increase in readership and advertising in our publication.
Ararat Rural City is located in Western Victoria covering an area of 4,211 square kilometres. Ararat is located 200 kilometres west of Melbourne on the Western Highway at the junction of several major highways.
Ararat Rural City forms a ‘gateway’ to important tourism destinations such as the Grampians Ranges, Pyrenees Ranges, Mt Langi Ghiran, Mt Cole and Lake Bolac.
Our newspaper is sold throughout the region in Ararat, Willaura, Moyston, Pomonal, Lake Bolac, Tatyoon, Great Western, Mininera, Beaufort, Stawell, Horsham, Skipton, Halls Gap and Ballarat.
The Ararat Advocate is locally owned and employs a number of local people based in Ararat, Lake Bolac and Willaura.
