ARARAT Rats 2024 was always going to be a transitional campaign.
With a young, green list, development was always the aim.
After a winless season, however, the Rats have decided to hit the accelerator.
Their first signings for season 2025 are a pair of stars: Faith and Paige Biddle.
The sisters, moving from cross-town rivals Ararat Eagles, are a statement of intent from
the Rats.
The versatile Paige is coming off a club and Mininera League Best and Fairest double in 2024, whilst star defender Faith was bettered in the Eagles Best and Fairest count by only her sister.
Rats A Grade coach, Sally Noble, is delighted with the coup, describing the sisters as ‘motivated and joyful’.
Wanting the higher profile and better competition that comes with the move from the Mininera to the Wimmera league, the sisters are excited about the pathways available to them.
Noble will be looking for the pair to become on-court beacons for her young chargers, setting a standard for the rest of the squad to aspire to.
