MOMENTUM continues to build for Alex Dyson’s independent campaign for Wannon at next year’s federal election, with more than 1,000 supporters online and more than 300 active volunteers.
Alex’s listening tour is coming to Ararat next week where people can meet and discuss issues next Thursday 31 October from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Ararat Hotel Café, 130 Barkly Street.
“I take my lead from locals and community priorities will shape my campaign, so I’m looking forward to heading to Ararat and listening to what matters to locals this next election,” said Alex.
Campaign volunteer and Moyston resident Sharlien Darker encouraged residents to attend.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to meet Alex and have a chat about what’s important to you.

“Everyone is welcome. If it’s only 10 minutes out of your day, come along and let us know what you think your community needs,” she said.
The “Meet Alex” sessions run in conjunction with a community priority survey available at www.AlexDysonIndependent.com
Alex grew up in Warrnambool and attended local schools before gaining a spot on local community radio before establishing his broadcasting career at Triple J.
The 2025 federal election will be Alex’s third campaign.
In 2022, his campaign saw Wannon become a marginal electorate for the first time in 67 years.
He’s running as a community independent to get a better deal for South-West Victoria.
