MEMBERS of the local business community gathered last Thursday for the annual East Grampians Business Awards.
As we reported in last week’s edition of the Ararat Advocate, nine organisations across eight categories took home trophies.
The East Grampians Business Awards are held annually and open to all private, public, and not-for-profit enterprises operating within Ararat Rural City.
The top award – Business of the Year – went to Ararat Physio & Co.
The audience was told “the team of friendly and knowledgeable professionals truly care and take pride in providing professional services with the primary focus on helping their clients achieve the results they are looking for in a caring and supportive way.”

The coveted People’s Choice award went to Ararat’s popular SEDE Café.

Other awards presented include:
- Best New Business – Wirreanda Farm.
- Innovation and Change – SVFit.
- Trades and Construction – G.J. Gardner Ararat.
- Retail Priceline – Pharmacy Ararat.
- Hospitality – Barney’s Bar & Bistro.
- Professional Services – Budja Budja Aboriginal Co-operative.
- Young Person of the Year – Lauren Walker of Ararat Wellness.
