Jo Armstrong returns as Ararat Mayor

JO Armstrong has returned to Ararat’s top job after a meeting of the new council on Tuesday night.
At council’s statutory meeting, Cr Armstrong was nominated by Cr Peter Joyce and seconded by Cr Bill Waterston.
She was elected unanimously for a 12 month period as Mayor.
In a reversal of roles, outgoing Mayor Bob Sanders was nominated for the position of Deputy Mayor by Cr Armstrong and seconded by Cr Teli Kaur. He too was elected unanimously.
