Little Aths saved in Ararat
A PASSIONATE group of local parents have ensured Little Athletics will run in Ararat this season after fears of the organisation would fail to meet requirements. Ararat Little Athletics’ inability to fill vacant committee roles at its AGM sparked concerns for the organisation’s future, with all clubs requiring committees with defined roles to affiliate with […]
SMW Rovers’ long term vision
SMW Rovers Netball coach Courtney Guy believes the netball department is laying the right foundations for prolonged success. Coming from a successful playing background with Laharum, where she was part of a drought-breaking A-Grade premiership at 15-years-old, Guy has sought to replicate this formula for long-term success in her role as SMW Rovers coach. Ararat Centurions: Bill Smeaton
THERE have only been three Ararat players to have kicked 100 goals in a season at senior level. And Bill Smeaton was the first. Wilksch, along with nine others, will head to France this August to compete in the 2022 International Six Day Enduro against the world’s best enduro riders. Racing between five-and-six hours over six […]

Beneath the surface of nine consecutive wins to start the Mininera season […]
300 of the best for Tim McDougall
TIM McDougall is Tatyoon through-and-through.
Not only does he personify every club’s dream of seeing players graduate from Auskick and junior programs into the seniors but demonstrates unquestionable devotion to the club every time he steps out onto the field.
Even when studies and other commitments took him as far as Ballarat and Horsham, his loyalty to the club never wavered; making sure he would be there for his team each Saturday.
With a guard of honour as long as the list of his family’s achievements at the club, McDougall ran out for the 300th time in the brown-and-gold, as Tatyoon picked up an emphatic win over SMW Rovers.
